What’s the Most Important Aspect of Customer Service?

Is it saying thank you when your transaction is completed?
Is it when a store employee greets you with “how are you” and really mean it?
It is showing empathy to you and trying to determine how best to serve you?
Is it competing just on price?
Is it competing just on service?
Is it when companies ask you how they can improve their service to you?
Is it empowering your company’s customer service reps to answer most of your questions without transferring you?
Is it when companies answer your call on the first ring?
Is it when an associate smiles and thanks you for visiting their store?
Is it knowing that there are costs involved hiring competent associates?
Is it when one of your favorite restaurants sends you a birthday greeting?
Is it when an associate sees you need help and figures out how best to help you?
Is it returning your call within the same day?
Is it setting expectations and meeting those expectations one transaction at time?
Is it going above and beyond?
