Dumb Ass Comments Spammers Make — Part II

I’ve included a brief sample of some of the comments I receive while maintaining my blog. I have bolded those comments and my reaction to those comments are not bolded. If I could say one more thing, most of these samples have been repeated over the last few months (and sometimes years) and many are ridiculous and/or inaccurate so I felt compelled to include some of them here. One more thing (again), I wonder if the travesty here is the message I’m trying to get across to these spammers will not be read by such an individual as their focus is on something more deviant.

Just discovered this site thru Yahoo, what a way to brighten up my month! So I’d didn’t just brighten their day or week but I brightened their entire month. I guess I should be proud. If they’re so impressed, perhaps they can provide some topic ideas to help me duplicate this.

Have you given any consideration at all with translating your webpage into Spanish or Chinese? I know a couple of of translators right here that would certainly help you do it for no cost if you want to get in touch with me. Why not Yiddish and Farsi while we’re at it? First, it’s off topic. Second, they are providing no value before they make their proposal. Three, what would ever make a spammer make such a proposal when my original post involved professional football.

Brilliant, cheers, I will bookmark you later. You see the same comment or something similar with the same IP address so you know it’s spam. Besides, they really like my blog but will not bookmark it until later. To me, that makes very little sense unless they’re going to continue to spam me with the same IP over and over and at the last spam comment, they bookmark my site. I know it’s a stretch but when you’re dealing with ridiculous comments over and over again from the same IP, it’s hard not to allow a little snarkiness to creep in. Especially when you’re dealing with creeps.

Just discovered this site thru Bing, what a way to brighten up my day! Oh, so you just discovered this site today through Bing? Interesting as I’ve seen your IP address days and weeks ago spamming my site. Either you’re mistaken or you do so much spamming, you’ve lost track. Maybe I should do some research on individuals who repeatedly engage in spamming. What would motivate someone to do such a thing?

Today, I went to the beach front with my children. I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She placed the shell to her ear and screamed. There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear. First, off topic. Second, provide some value before including such a story. Three, it’s simply fiction – in my mind I’ve never heard of this actually happening.

Amazing article, cheers, I will visit again later. Yes, I want to believe you but it’s a struggle. You will visit again but not for the reasons you want me to think. Your primary reason for a future visit is to spam me again. If you leave that message again on my website after your second visit, I’ll know you’ll be visiting again but not for the reasons you want me to think. Use your creativity and energy to build something, do something productive instead of acting like a rat to insidiously try to get some of your commercial interests published.

I have got 1 recommendation for your webpage. It seems like there are a number of cascading stylesheet issues while launching a number of web pages in Google chrome as well as Firefox. It is functioning alright in internet explorer. Perhaps you can double check that. So someone comments on my page thinking they’ll comment on the article theme at hand and they proceed to make one recommendation about my webpage. They don’t ask to make a recommendation, they don’t make it in any way align to the subject matter. They go on about cascading stylesheet issues while launching some webpages in Google Chrome and Firefox. What nerve! Go away unless this is a legitimate comment about one of my blog posts.

Hi there! Do you know if they make any plugins to safeguard against hackers? I’m kinda paranoid about losing everything I’ve worked hard on. Any tips? First, is this legit? I’m doubtful. I don’t want to sound like a broken record but provide some value before requesting a favor and perhaps if you’re going to make that request, personalize to increase one’s chance of getting a response from the webmaster.

Hello, this weekend is good for me, as this moment i am reading this wonderful informative post here at my residence. Even though this post may have originated in Australia or Japan, it was not posted on the weekend – regardless of the time zone, it was posted either on Tuesday or Wednesday so I don’t know what to think. Will they post again but this time on the weekend and instead, refer to a weekday?

I always spent my half an hour to read this blog’s articles or reviews all the time along with a mug of coffee. Feel free to visit my homepage – Some celebrities sextape. First, they always spend the first 30 minutes to read this blog’s articles or reviews with a mug of coffee? So you’re a regular visitor to my website? I may be inclined to publish such a comment until you encourage me and perhaps other readers to visit your homepage which apparently includes a sextape of some celebrity. No thanks and BTW, I hope you enjoyed your mug of coffee.

Yesterday, while I was at work, my cousin stole my apple ipad and tested to see if it can survive a forty foot drop, just so she can be a youtube sensation. My apple ipad is now destroyed and she has 83 views. I know this is totally off topic but I had to share it with someone! First, I appreciate the fact that this writer realizes their comments are off topic. Second, could you capitalize the correct proper nouns? Third, I’ve seen this comment about two months ago and I have one comment to this writer, don’t you think you should review the analytics again to see if you’ve received more views than 83 since the last time you wrote? Fourth, please don’t write again.

  1. I was wondering if you ever thought of changing the layout
of your site? Its very well written; I love what youve got to say.
But maybe you could a little more in the way of content so people could connect with it better.
Youve got an awful lot of text for only having 1 or 2 pictures.

Maybe you could space it out better?
