Smoking In A Commercial Building In Illinois

I currently work in an office building that is still under construction so we see different contractors come and go on a regular basis. Sometimes, I smell smoke coming from the construction areas. Just because you’re in construction and the interior building is still under construction, doesn’t give anyone the right to smoke in a commercial building.

Contractors should probably know this is verboten on two accounts. One, if you’re a smoker, you know all the regulated areas when and where you can light up. Two, being a contractor who smokes and works in commercial construction should know better.
